Communities for Change Project
In order to develop a sustained network of Community Based Organizations (CBOs) and local leadership, CAMP initiated the Communities for Change Project in May 2009. The 21 month project is funded by Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Islamabad.
Capacity building workshops on five thematic areas including ‘Advocacy and Lobbying’, Communication and Presentation skills’, ‘Conflict Resolution’, Human Rights and Democracy’ and ‘Project Planning and Management skills’ are planned for a network of 100 CBOs. A monthly newsletter “Voices from FATA” is published for highlighting issues in FATA through articles contributed from FATA journalists, members of CBOs and interviews with FATA parliamentarians and other key stakeholders. A series of five consultative dialogues on issues affecting the FATA are also planned on varying topics including the constitutional status of FATA, state of journalism in FATA etc.
