Health Care Centres for the flood affected communities of Khyber Agency
The primary health care centres were established in August 2007 for the flood
affected people living in the Khyber Agency under support from CIDA, Canadian
aid agency. The project established two PHC centres with free check up/OPD and
medication for the flood affected communities of Katta Khushta and Sultan Khel

among the deserving communities.
These PHC centres have served more than 7000 beneficiaries of selected parts

in expanding the beneficiary base of PHC services for the highly needy communities

Establishment of Disability Resource Centre (DRC) in district Mansehra
CAMP is very efficiently running a Disability Resource Centre in Mansehra on
since 15th March 2007, in partnership with Leonard Cheshire Disability (LCD),
a UK based charity working on disability. The Disability Resource Centre provides
free information, facilitates rehabilitation services for people with disabilities,
coordinate advocacy activities on PWDs rights at district level, provincial
and national level, offers referral services to PWDs for physical rehabilitation
services, prosthetic limbs, orthopaedic braces, wheelchairs, physiotherapy and
psycho-social care. DRC also provides Inclusive Education to PWDs, Economic
Empowerment of PWDs, formation and strengthening of Self-Help Groups, Carer

These services are essential in improving the quality of life for PWDs, increasing
their independence and enabling them to access economic opportunities, which
lead to integration and inclusion into community life. CAMP plans to replicate
this project in other areas of FATA and Khyber Pukhtunkhwa.
