Community Appraisal and Motivation Programme (CAMP) is a national non-profit and non-governmental organization established and registered in May 2002, under the Societies Act of 1860 (Registration No. 192/5/2946). We work with some of the most underprivileged communities in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistan; responding to emergencies, improving access to quality health and education, creating livelihood opportunities and working closely with communities and government departments to promote human rights, peace and security.(Read more about CAMP)

Aiming towards poverty alleviation and sustainable development ...

Since its inception, CAMP has been implementing a wide-range of projects on education, primary health and community development; aiming towards poverty alleviation and sustainable development. Projects have focused on primary education and adult literacy particularly for women, primary health care (preventive and curative), clean water supply & sanitation, and community physical infrastructure in FATA & KPK. CAMP conducts baseline surveys and develops village plans in consultation with local communities. We believe that the development and planning of village community needs are vital for sustainable development. Based on the village development plans, education, health and other community development schemes are implemented, addressing the real needs of FATA communities and steering them towards sustainable development. Human and institutional development (HID) is a cross cutting theme in all of CAMP’s programmes, as we believe in building human resource and strengthening institutions for all our stakeholders. An example of this is a series of Primary Trauma Care (PTC) courses that we conducted with support from IDEALS, a UK based NGO, and the FATA Health Directorate. Community Midwifery Project, FATA: Primary Trauma Care (PTC), FATA: Literacy, Numeracy and Life skills training, FATA: Capacity Building Project for Strategic Partners, FATA: HIV Prevention Programme for high risk youth, FATA: Child Health Project, Mansehra District, Khyber Pukhtunkhwa:
