The Community Appraisal & Motivation Programme (CAMP) is a Pakistani national NGO [registration number 192/5/2946], dedicated to working on national, regional and global peace and development. CAMP’s activities ranges from research and analysis, policy advocacy to implementation of projects that promote peace and development and responding to emergencies across Pakistan, especially in remote and under developed areas of FATA, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
CAMP is seeking applications for positions mentioned below for its anticipated project to be funded by German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through HELP ev, which will respond to the Health Emergency needs of large population in district Naseerabad, Balochistan of Pakistan. CAMP’s ‘Rule of Law Programme in Pakistan’ will undertake two research assessments: Assessing the legal environment of Afghans in Pakistan aims to conduct a detailed research study to examine how Afghan refugees have approached the Pakistan legal system in the absence of refugee law, and what impact this local law has had on their lives as refugees or foreigners. Reforming the tribal jirga system in Pakistan’s tribal areas aims to understand the jirga mechanism, its dynamics and potential for bridging modernity with tradition assessment.

The six month project is financially supported by the German Foreign Office, with legal as well as technical assistance from the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law from Heidelberg, Germany. The project started on July 1, 2010.
